What a Web Design project includes with Haeresis
A Managed WordPress Website project has multiple phases to go through before being ready for launch onto the web. Below, we’ll discuss the exact steps involved in a web design project with Haeresis.
STEP 1: DISCOVERY SESSION
Firstly, we schedule and conduct a Discovery Session.
A relatively familiar term in many industries, a Discovery Session allows us to convene and discuss, in great detail, the history, purpose, goals, challenges and attributes of your business.
Once completed, the information gleaned will be made into a document for you to own and reference moving forward, whether you decide to continue with our services or not.
STEP 2: BRAND IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT
Once we have completed the Discovery Session, we can move forward with the next task, which is brand identity development in most cases. Commonly, we’ll likely tackle the logo development next, utilizing the information gleaned from our initial exercise.
STEP 3: WIREFRAME/UI DEVELOPMENT
Armed with the MVP of our brand identity strategy, or in the case that no brand identity is needed, we move into developing the wireframe and UI of the home page of the website. We’ll provide 1 to 3 versions to choose from, and upon approval, move into website construction.
At this stage, we take the wireframe/UI mockup and construct a functional web page on our development server, which you will have a static link to, in order to view at your convenience or when a new requested change or feature has been made or added.
STEP 4: WEBSITE CONSTRUCTION & SEO IMPLEMENTATION
Once approval has been given for the aforementioned steps, we confidently move forward with developing the rest of the website in tandem with the design principles accepted so far. It is also at this stage that we implement our SEO efforts, also gleaned from what has been uncovered during our discovery session.
STEP 5: FINAL REVISIONS
When all pages have been constructed, and all content and imagery has been added, we’ll move into the final revisions phase, which includes a thorough audit from the client and ourselves regarding content, imagery, mobile responsiveness and functionality.
STEP 6: LAUNCH
When final approval is given, the website is published. From this point forward, Haeresis will watch over the website, making sure the WordPress platform is hosted and maintained consistently, and all integrated functionalities are kept up to date.

A website project’s cost is as unique as the project itself. Only after a thorough discovery session can I give you an accurate quote for your project. With that said, it may be helpful to note that I’ve offered solutions for as much as $4000 and for as little as $250.
The average turnaround time for a website project is 4 to 8 weeks. Various factors can cause fluxuations in the time frame, but as long as communication is addressed in a timely manner, the aforementioned time frame is accurate.
I offer as many revisions as it takes to get to the desired goal of the website project in regards to visual appeal and function. Much of the direction of our efforts will be agreed upon when we establish our discovery session results and subsequent mockups. As long as we maintain a course on an agreed upon path, we’ll see it through to the end.
We use a combination of WordPress and licensed themes and plugins to create unique websites for our clients. This combination has been chosen through extensive trial and error over the past 10 years of experience with WordPress and WordPress assets. Similar consideration is given in evaluating additional plugins needed for requested functionality.
Your first option is to contact Haeresis so we can do it for you. Part of the Managed WordPress Website solutions, beyond secured hosting with an SSL, is maintenance, which keeps the hosting PHP version, WordPress platform, and theme and plugin elements up to date. Those who care for a more hands on approach will find us available for quick training sessions for use on an extremely user friendly page builder.
We do. From the moment the website is launched, we maintain a consistent eye on keeping the hosting PHP version, the WordPress platform, and any functionality elements(themes, plugins, etc.) up to date. You needn’t worry about such things as a member of the Haeresis family.
All websites are built with mobile responsiveness in mind from an early stage. Upon presentation of the initial development of the homepage wireframe/UI mockup into a functional web page, mobile responsiveness will be available for review and critique.
After a productive discovery session, and an agreement to procure services, an initial payment of 50% of the total invoice will be due to begin the project. The remaining 50% will be due upon final approval and launch of website.
If for whatever reason the website project is not completed by Day 75 (roughly 2 and a half months after the initial payment is made), 40% of the total invoice may be requested.
If after the discovery session, should you decide to not continue with our services, a flat fee of $100 will be invoiced.
We do. Our Managed WordPress Website solutions include hosting with dedicated disk space and bandwidth, as well as an SSL for ensured security and peace of mind. An SSL has the further benefit of being a positive signal to search engines for higher ranking than similar websites who don’t have an SSL.

Upon requesting termination of our Managed WordPress Website solution, we enter into an offboarding process. In this process, we provide an export file (a .xml file) from the WordPress platform that can be universally imported into any other WordPress installation at any other hosting or web development agency. This export file will include all the raw data for posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, tags, navigation menus, custom posts and media from the website.
Proprietary toolsets, such as licensed themes, page builders and plugins owned and curated by Haeresis will not be included.
The Managed WordPress Solution will remain online and will continue until the end of the current term, ensuring as smooth of a transition as possible.
Alternatively, migration services are available to ensure a complete 1:1 cloning of your website from one hosting account to another. Migration services are available from Haeresis for a fee, on a case by case basis and subject to server resource limitations. Migration services do not include email accounts, but do include email messages (a .eml file).
